Dock Shelters

Inflatable, cushion and curtain dock shelters that seal the gap between vehicle and building — supplied, retrofitted and serviced across Ireland.

Overview

Engineered for industrial environments

A dock shelter closes the gap around a trailer while it is on the bay, keeping weather out and conditioned air in during loading. Without one, an open dock is effectively a permanent hole in the building envelope.

Curtain shelters suit mixed vehicle fleets and are the most economical option. Cushion shelters give a tighter seal for consistent trailer heights, and inflatable shelters provide the closest seal where the bay serves temperature-controlled or hygiene-sensitive operations.

Shelters are usually specified alongside a dock leveller and a sectional or roller door as a single loading bay package, and can be retrofitted to existing bays.

FAQ

Common questions from specifiers

Preparing a tender or a maintenance schedule? Our team publishes clear answers so you can specify with confidence.

Which dock shelter type should I choose?+

Curtain shelters handle mixed fleets and varying trailer sizes, cushion shelters seal well where trailer heights are consistent, and inflatable shelters give the tightest seal for chilled and hygiene-critical operations.

Can a dock shelter be fitted to an existing bay?+

Yes. Shelters are regularly retrofitted, subject to the condition of the surrounding structure and the fixing substrate, which we check at survey.

Do shelters need maintenance?+

Yes. Fabric, stays and frames take impact damage from vehicles, so shelters are normally included on the same planned maintenance visit as the door and dock leveller.
