Agricultural

Agricultural Roller Doors

Robust roller shutter doors for farm buildings, machinery sheds, grain stores and agri-processing units — galvanised, wind-rated and built for exposed rural sites.

Overview

Engineered for industrial environments

Agricultural buildings are among the toughest environments an industrial door faces: wide openings, exposed sites, dust, ammonia, and machinery that doesn't always stop where it should.

We supply heavy galvanised roller shutters sized for wide machinery openings, with reinforced bottom rails, wind locks for exposed locations, and manual chain hoist or three-phase electric operation depending on the power available at the building.

Typical applications include machinery and plant sheds, grain and feed stores, potato and vegetable stores, agricultural contractor yards, marts and agri-machinery dealerships. Where a building is used for food or feed storage, we specify vermin-resistant bottom seals and full-perimeter guide brushes.

FAQ

Common questions from specifiers

Preparing a tender or a maintenance schedule? Our team publishes clear answers so you can specify with confidence.

Do agricultural doors need to be insulated?+

Usually not for machinery sheds. Insulated curtains are worth it for potato and vegetable stores, and anywhere a building is heated or condensation is damaging stored product or equipment.

Can a shutter be fitted where there's no three-phase power?+

Yes. Single-phase motors cover most standard openings, and a manual chain hoist works on very wide doors with no supply at all — with the option to motorise later.

How do wind locks work and do we need them?+

Wind locks are clips on the curtain lath ends that stop the curtain being pulled out of the guides under pressure. On exposed coastal, upland or open-plain sites with wide openings, they're essential.
