Commercial Roller Shutter Doors
Commercial roller shutter doors across Ireland for shop fronts, trade counters, warehouses and public buildings — security, insulated and perforated shutters supplied, installed and maintained.
Engineered for industrial environments
A commercial roller shutter door has to do two jobs at once: secure the premises overnight and open cleanly every trading day without holding anyone up. We specify shutters for shop fronts, trade counters, warehouse units, car parks and public buildings, matching the lath, motor and control gear to how the opening is actually used.
For street-facing frontages we normally use punched or perforated lath so window displays stay visible when the shutter is down, with a compact head-box that sits behind the fascia. For yard and warehouse openings, solid galvanised or foam-filled insulated lath is the better choice, with wind locks where the site is exposed.
Every shutter is measured on site and manufactured to the opening rather than cut down from stock, then commissioned to EN 13241-1 with a safety edge, photocells and documented handover. Because commercial premises rarely close, we fit outside trading hours where that protects your business.

What is the difference between a commercial roller shutter and an industrial roller door?+
The mechanism is the same coiling curtain in side guides. Commercial shutters are usually smaller openings on public-facing frontages, so they favour compact head-boxes, perforated lath and powder-coated finishes. Industrial doors are larger, higher-cycle openings where wind load, insulation and duty rating drive the specification.
Can a commercial roller shutter keep our window display visible?+
Yes. Punched lath and perforated lath let light and sight lines through while still closing the opening, which is why they are the usual choice for shop fronts and showrooms. Solid lath gives maximum privacy where a display is not a factor.
Are electric commercial shutters required to be serviced?+
Any powered door used by staff or the public falls under PUWER, which requires it to be kept in safe working order. We provide scheduled maintenance with certified inspection reports covering the curtain, motor, safety edge and photocells.
How long does installation take?+
A single commercial shutter is usually a one-day fit once manufactured. Standard sizes are typically 2–4 weeks from survey; fire-rated and bespoke units run longer depending on manufacturer lead times.
