Industrial door FAQs
Straight answers on cost, coverage, servicing intervals and compliance for industrial and commercial doors in Ireland.
Read our industrial door guidesHow much does an industrial roller door cost in Ireland?
+
Cost depends on the opening size, insulation, motor specification and finish. A standard industrial roller shutter for a small unit sits at the lower end, while large insulated or fire-rated doors with three-phase automation cost considerably more. Rayco Group surveys the opening and issues a written, itemised quotation so there are no variations later.
Do you cover the whole of Ireland?
+
Yes. Rayco Group installs, services and repairs industrial and commercial doors across all 26 counties, including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Wexford.
Can you repair a roller door that another company installed?
+
Yes. Our engineers repair and service industrial doors of any make — shutters, sectional doors, high-speed doors, dock levellers and automation — regardless of who originally supplied them.
What is the difference between a roller shutter door and a sectional door?
+
A roller shutter curls into a barrel above the opening and suits tight headroom and security-led applications. A sectional door is made of hinged insulated panels that lift up and back under the ceiling, giving better insulation and sealing — the usual choice for loading bays and temperature-controlled buildings.
How often should an industrial door be serviced?
+
Under PUWER and IS EN 13241-1 good practice, power-operated industrial doors should be inspected and serviced at least annually, and more frequently on high-cycle openings such as loading bays and high-speed doors.
Are your doors CE certified?
+
Yes. Door systems we install are CE marked and installed in line with IS EN 13241-1, with fire-rated shutters certified to EN 1634-1. Certification and handover documentation is supplied with every installation.
